Latest box mod from Joyetech, called Cuboid already has got loads of positive reviews among the vapers worldwide. Nice start from Joyetech. Let’s see what’s what benefits we are going to receive from this device.
Where is Cuboid in Joyetech range?
With their latest box mod Cuboid, Joyetech is filling the gap in their box mods range with a double 18650 battery box mod. This is going to allow us to fire as high as 150w, temperature control, which is going to give a nice range of builds for all clouds chasers.
Cuboid sharing a screen and easiness to upgrade firmware with a widely popular Joyetech eVic VTC Mini box mod, which has been introduced in the fourth quarter of 2015.
Joyetech Cuboid firmware upgrades
Everyone who owns eVic VTC Mini, can say how good Joyetech firmware upgrades are, and Cuboid upgrades are no exception: within few days after realising this box mod, they have updated the firmware, so now this box mod is capable fire at 200w, which was really unexpected from the audience. A very good box mod became even better now!
How it looks and feels
Joyetech Cuboid is very good looking, elegant device, well made, you can see and feel it from a fist second you take it. Surface feels nice, not too slippery, however, fingerprints are visible, at least on the silver version.
A vertical screen on the side of the Joyetech Cuboid is just so much better than the screen of the Kangertech Kbox 70. The screen of the Cuboid is hidden behind the black glass window which goes from the top to the bottom of the mod. Looks very good and it’s so natural to take a look at all the information it shows if you’re right handed and firing device with a thumb.
Cuboid is a relatively small device for its capabilities, dimensions of this mod are: 42mm x 28mm x 91.5mm, makes it a bit higher than most of the mods at the same price range, but much narrower, which creates a very comfortable feel when you’re holding it.
Batteries door feels solid is very well designed, you can feel it’s going to be reliable and
easy to use. The door closes solid without any movement. Under each battery, there are holes for ventilation.
Information, where to insert positive and negative batteries sides is very well shown, there will be not a second of confusion how to do it.
TCR(Temperature Coefficient of Resistance) mode for Joyetech Cuboid allows the user to set a personal reference to various coils which are not included in firmware by default (for example SS304, NiFe etc), which is a very handy for advanced builders.
While the device is off, hold right button and right adjustment button for 5 seconds, and you will enter the menu, where you will be able to set up TCR value rate.
Checking Battery Voltage
While the device is off, hold left and fire buttons for 5 seconds and you will see the voltage of each battery. Very handy to know where you are with your batteries at this moment.
Thumbs of for Joyetech Cuboid
Overall we couldn’t find downsides on this device: powerful, good looking, nice in hands and properly up-to-date, this box mod is getting a strong thumbs up! Probably best box mod to start 2016 with.
