Aspire Plato was introduced at the beginning of March 2016. Aspire joins Joyetech and Kangertech in a race for a best all-in-one kit. The rival from Aspire is called Aspire Plato. This kit is an outcome of few months exploration and planning. By the looks, Aspire did their homework rather well as kit has more flexibility and some very attractive advantages against its opponents. Let’s take a closer look at what they have achieved.
Aspire Plato is a truly all-in-one kit
The main advantage of Aspire Plato is that it’s really the all-in-one kit. Not only because it has no tank on the top. The biggest difference between Aspire Plato and for example, Kangertech DripBox is that Plato can satisfy mouth to lung and direct to lung vapers. Thanks for two types of chimney variations and two different drip tips, this kit will satisfy both needs of vapers. This is a lovely feature as most of us really like to change vaping style at least for few hours.
Device is working capable to fire coils in variable wattage and temperature control mods.
Interchangeable 18650 battery and easiness to clean the tank puts this device ahead of its rivals.
Design and colours
Since the launch of Aspire Pegasus box mod Aspire is continuing their range of stylish devices. Nice metal finish isn’t excluded from Plato kit.
Design of this kit won’t leave even most demanding vaper unsatisfied: at least three colour variations for ladies, three colours for males and two unisex colours will allow anyone to find their preferred style.
Aspire Plato for direct to lung vaping
For everyone who prefers direct to lung vaping, Aspire Plato has 0.4ohm kanthal Clapton coil included into the kit, Delrin drip tip a sub ohm atomizer cartridge, which is chimney too. This setup will increase the amount of air which will allow to experience true direct inhale vaping. Adjustable airflow control is easy adjustable and makes it easy to find sweet point even while vaping.
Because of the need for more space in the chimney section, a capacity of a tank is going to be a bit smaller in this setup: the amount of liquid you will be able to hold will go down to 4.6ml, 1ml less comparing to 5.6ml setup for a mouth to lung vaping.
Mouth to lung vaping
For mouth to lung vaping Aspire Plato kit includes a separate cartridge which holds coil head and a stainless steel drip tip. Thanks to a narrower tunnel for air and 1.8ohm BVC coil from Nautilus (probably the best coil head ever for a mouth to lung vaping) this setup is designed to work very well.
A very interesting solution for cooling down the vapour was made by Aspire: at the top of the cartridge where drip tip sits is a pretty big expansion. This extra space and overall longer distance between coil and drip tip is going to cool down the temperature of vapour and prevent from hot spits of e-liquid.
Tanks capacity for mouth to lung setup is impressive: Aspire Plato can hold up to 5.6ml of e-liquid.
Aspire Plato is more comfortable to hold than Kangertech Nebox, as with of Plato is 0.8 mm smaller than width of Nebox. This is one of the main reasons why the owners of smaller hands should go for Aspire Plato, as Kangertech Nebox is not the most comfortable device to hold.
Aspire Plato dimensions are: Height – 87.5mm (100mm with drip tip), Width – 50mm, Depth – 23mm.
Insights and conclusion
Overal Aspire Plato is a great device. Easiness to clean glass tank, direct inhale and mouth to lung functions, interchangeable 18650, firmware upgrades and a wide range of colours in truly beautiful finishes makes this device miles ahead against Kangertech Nebox and Joyetech eGrip VT.
